Giancarlo Diaz
Originally from Gurabo, Puerto Rico Giancarlo Diaz Bidot completed a B.S in Microbiology at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayagüez. Following the completion of his undergraduate degree, Giancarlo moved to New York to pursue his Master’s in Biomedical Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, within the Development, Regeneration and Stem Cells program.
In 2026, Giancarlo joined the LXCG eager to learn about cardiac genomics. Under the mentorship of Dr. Monroe and Assistant Scientist Dr. Amadori, Giancarlo will be working on his capstone Project which is centered on cardiac developmental genetics.
As a creative mind Giancarlo likes to produce music and play instruments during his free time, as well as watching tv, reading and painting.
